THPFC announces the appointment of Jason Massie

TORONTO, Ontario – Toronto High Park FC today announced that Jason Massie has joined the Club as Player Development Manager and Director of Coaching for U11 and U12 Girls.

“I am thrilled to announce Jason’s appointment today,” said Rahim Mohamed, Technical Director at Toronto High Park FC.  “Jason’s personal coaching philosophies align with those of our Club extremely well.  He brings considerable experience working within Canadian youth soccer, along with a high-level of professionalism that will serve the Club and our community extremely well.”

Jason comes to the Toronto High Park Football Club (THPFC) from the Halifax County United Soccer Club in Nova Scotia where he was Director of Coaching.  In addition to his duties at Halifax County, Jason was a Canadian Soccer ‘C’ License Learning Facilitator.  Jason also spent time in Kingston, Ontario as an Assistant Director of Player Development and Coaching.  Jason has a unique mix of high-level coaching education and considerable success as a player.  He was a member of Liverpool FC Academy for many years, and was called-up to England’s U17 National Team.

In his role as Player Development Manager, Jason will direct the development efforts for all THPFC players,  consistent with Long Term Player Development principles.   As Director of Coaching for U11 and U12 Girls, he  is responsible for the advancement of all players in these age groups, and will coordinate all training, games and festivals.

“Jason’s knowledge of the youth soccer landscape will be a tremendous asset to those he works with,” added Mr. Mohamed.  “By overseeing the development young, talented players, he will play an integral role in the future of this Club.”

Coaching Qualifications:

  • CSA National B License
  • CSA Provincial B License
  • CSA C License Learning Facilitator Training
  • NCCP Core Training for Learning Facilitators

  • Halifax County United Soccer Club, Director of Coaching, Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • Cape Breton District Soccer Association, Director of Player Development and Coaching, Sydney, Nova Scotia
  • Kingston Clippers Soccer Club,  Assistant Director of Player Development and Coaching, Kingston, Ontario


  • Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development, Cape Breton University, Sydney, Nova Scotia
