THPFC announces the appointment of Robert Miskimmin as General Manager
Toronto High Park FC announces the appointment of Robert Miskimmin as the Club’s new General Manager. In this role, Mr. Miskimmin will assume responsibility for all off-field operations and financial management of the organization.
“As our Club continues to grow in terms of both membership and the breadth of our soccer programs, we recognized the need to strengthen our operations team,” said William Buckingham, President of Toronto High Park FC. “Robert’s business acumen and leadership experience will serve us well as we continue to improve and expand operations to better serve the needs of current and prospective members in our community.”
Mr. Miskimmin brings over twenty years’ of diverse business experience to his new role. He has held a number of senior marketing and business development positions in the information technology and financial services sectors. For many years, he provided consulting services to start-up and growth-stage companies in the areas of business strategy, marketing and communications. Most recently, he was a consulting engineer in the solar power industry. In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Miskimmin served as Chairman of the Board for a not-for-profit childcare centre in Toronto and on the advisory boards of two start-up companies. His education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from University of Toronto, and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University in Kingston.
“It is a very exciting time to be joining Toronto High Park FC,” said Robert Miskimmin. “The Club has recently introduced significant new initiatives in player development, recruited a number of highly-qualified coaches, and been recognized by Ontario Soccer for compliance with technical and governance best practices.
“I hope to build on these achievements by enhancing the processes and systems that contribute to operational efficiency, quality member services and responsible financial stewardship.”
