Parent Participation at THPFC
While other clubs now employ paid staff to fill most coaching and administrative positions, Toronto High Park FC is still primarily based on the volunteer efforts of our community. We feel that one of our major strengths over thirty seasons of community-based youth soccer is the involvement of parents in their child's soccer development.
During the registration process, all parents are asked to support the Club by volunteering for both team roles and administrative committees. During the season, all parents are required to assist with team duties such as setting up nets, helping with practice drills, making phone calls, providing refreshments, et cetera.
We hope that we can count on your participation this season.
The following team-based roles need to be filled for each team by parent volunteers.
- Head Coach
- Assistant Coach
- Weekly team duties (net setup, practice drills, refreshments, phone calls, et cetera)
Toronto High Park FC hopes that every parent plays at least one of these roles every year.
Toronto High Park FC is a community-based, volunteer-run organisation. Without members like you stepping forward and helping run the Club, there simply is no soccer for youth in our community.
There are always a number of roles needing to be done every year. Please check out the latest list at our Volunteers Needed page.
