For Boy and Girl players born in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Held on Sundays from 9am to 10am at Runnymede Public School (357 Runnymede)
Active Start provides our youngest soccer players with the opportunity to develop their basic physical literacy – coordinated movement, agility and balance. They also receive what will be for many their first participation in a team sport.
The Active Start curriculum includes age and stage appropriate games and activities, including small-sided soccer matches. The objective is to fully engage the children so the emphasis is on participation and fun.
Active Start sessions are lead by a coach specializing in early youth development. A typical session comprises approximately 60% physical literacy activities and 40% soccer-related games. Parental involvement is important for successful sessions, and we will ask that they participate with their children in some activities.
